Time for a Few Christmas Cards

Those of you who came to the Christmas Card Marathon will no doubt recognise the origins of this card.

The Heart of Christmas stamp is my favourite stamp from the Stampin' Up winter catalogue, so I decided to make some variations using it and the new In Colours and to include some optional add ons that might help bling up your cards if you want.

Here are 5 cards all using the Heart of Christmas stamp. They are all stamped using the Stampin' Write markers instead of traditional ink pads, that way you can colour in different parts of the stamp in different colours. In this case each card has the "in the heart" phrase across the middle in one of the In Colours and the rest is done using Crumb Cake, stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock. I then mounted each card onto a card base of the same In Colour card used for the stamping.

Then I made each one slightly different by adding a little embellishment.
The top card is done in Gumball Green and has no embellishments.
The next 2 cards down were done in Summer Starfruit which had a little heart added that I punched using the new Fashionable Hearts Embosslit from the new Annual Catalogue. The card opposite it was made using Raspberry Ripple In Colour and has 2 hearts punched using the Embosslit.
On the bottom row the left hand card was made using Primrose Petals In Colour and has 2 gems, one
above and one below the text. The final card was made using Midnight Muse In Colour and has
another little heart punched with a gem on.

I cut my vanilla card to 90mm square and the In Colour card to 95 x 190mm which I then folded in half to make a 95mm square card. You can get 3 coloured card bases out of an A4 sheet, so that's a massive 48 cards from a pack of coloured card if you need that many!

ILWS blog hop

Well it's that time of year again when we're all excited to see the new catalogue and what everyone has made from the winter catalogue or their preorders from the new annual catalogue.

I decided to do a few Christmassy things. The piece at the back is an 8x8" scrapbook page the photo of which is a free photo available online, sadly not one of mine! The stamps on it are Joyous Celebrations and the text bar is Good Cheer both from the winter cat.

The two cards on the right were both made using the Heart of Christmas stamp from the winter catalogue which I just love. One is done in crumb cake and pink pirouette and other I coloured the stamp with my pens in raspberry ripple and crumb cake. The tiny hearts are made by trimming the little four petal punch from the Itty Bitty punch pack.

The final two are fancy fold cards. The large one was made from a 12x12" sheet and decorated with Candlelight Christmas papers, the stamp on the belly band is a hostess set Mixed Medley both from the winter cat. The smaller one was 6x6" to start with and decorated with Be of Good Cheer papers and the stamp in the middle is a hostess set Whacky Wishes, both from the new main cat.

I hope you like my offerings. If you would like a catalogue or to order any of the products please email me, otherwise please go on to Clare's blog next and see what lovely things she has done.
Thanks
Ally

New Winter/Christmas catalogue

Its that time of year, August is just gone and so it must be nearly time for Christmas right?  So here are some cards I made using a couple of new products in the Winter/Christmas catalogue.

These are really quick and easy to make.  The punched holes along the bottom edge of each card are made using the punches in the new Punch Pack, (there is also a set of little stamps that go with them, which I will have just as soon as my next delivery comes) I measured the pucnh width and marked where I anted eac punch to go in pencil on the back of my card.

Then I stuck a strip of patterned paper on the bottom edge of the inside fothe card so that it shows through the holes when the card is shut.  The patterned papers are from the Festival of Prints DSP Stack, which gives you 48 sheets of double sided paper which are 11.4 x 16.5 cm or 4.5 x 6.5".  This is a really useful card sized little pack of papers and although they are Christmassy colours the prints could be used at any time of year.

Finally I tied a piece of ribbon around the card and stamped it with a greeting in coordinating ink.  The cardstock used was Lucky Limeade, Bashful Blue and Soft Suede, the little greeting was from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Supplies details are below if you'd like them.

Have a lovely crafty weekend!

More freebies from Stampin' Up!

Its a new month, and we have yet another freebie from Stampin' Up!  For August only, if you order £60 worth of goodies (not inc p&p) you get this lovely stamp set free, available in both wood or clear.  If you are interested in ordering, please contact me.

I love that you have both an outline and  watercolour effect versions in the same set, if you use them with the Stampa-ma-jig to line them up together it would look great.  I've also seen the spot used to make a great  tone on tone background print.

Enchanting Pegs

Take a pack of giant pegs from a well known craft supermarket (except I think they were in 2's not 3's) some other bits and pieces that needed decorating, a pack of DSP and some extra sticky red tape and one bored Ally and voila!

The papers are Everyday Enchantment and are back for sale for July only.  So if you are interested in getting a pack before they finally disappear let me know, and don't forget if your order is £45 or more (not inc p&p) then you get a set of 2 reels of matching ribbon and a pack of brads free!

Have fun!

Its the Summer Mini Blog Hop!

Well if you've made it this far, you've hopefully come from CarolynUKs fab blog

These are the projects I managed to get done between getting my pre-orders and going off on holiday (where I am on my way back from as you read).

So I was a little frugal this time round and only got a few things.  I had to have the lovely score board of course, I also got the gorgeous Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon, and what is probably one of my most favourite papers - Attic Boutique.

So I made lots of lollipop/pinwheel thingies - whatever you like to call them.  I covered a button box and put one on the lid.  There is a little one in the middle of a card, and one on the lid of an exploding box.  The tub thing is made using the milk carton die, based on one Jo D made me that I use as a pen tub.  The plain card is soft suede.

Above is a closer view of the exploding box and two more pinwheels I made.

And here is the inside of the exploding box.  The pink red card is rose red (I think).  The patterened paper is more from Attic Bouique.  I'll hopefully finish it off sometime with some more patterend paper and some photos and embellishments.

So thats my little collection, I hope you enjoyed it, now go check out Vronies blog, which I am sure will be gorgeous.

Have fun!
